Acton

Acton is conveniently located just 25 miles outside of Boston. Founded in 1735, Acton played a pivotal role in the Revolutionary War - on the morning of April 19, 1775, Acton’s militia and minutemen gathered to march towards Concord’s Old North Bridge to defend against the British. Over the years, Acton has become a community known for exceptional schools and athletics. Most recently, Boston Magazine ranked Acton-Boxborough High School as the #1 public high school in Massachusetts. With a number of historical homes and landmarks, Acton remains connected with its vibrant past while offering all the modern conveniences of today. Ideally situated along Route 2, Acton provides easy access to all major commuting routes, and South Acton’s MBTA station provides daily service to Boston’s North Station.
